Seminar: Jérôme Denis

“Artisanal Electronics: Digital Repair Cultures” was a mini-conference we held at July 6.

Jérôme Denis (Centre de Sociologie de l’Innovation, Mines ParisTech, Paris) opened the research day by providing a theoretical framework on maintenance and repair. Drawing on the emerging field of repair studies in social sciences, his talk highlighted the ‘ontological enactments’ showing how the diversity of maintenance and repair activities participate in the very constitution of objects.
